Jefferson Matters: Main Street is now accepting applications for the 2018 Ring Out for Art contest.
JMMS Program Director Peg Raney says individuals wanting to participate in the third annual competition can submit entries by March 12th, with a $25 fee.
“Any artist can submit as many entries as they would like. This is just either a drawing or a sketch. We’ve even had little, miniature replications of what they would like this to look like (and) pictures of past work that they’ve done too.”
Prize money is once again sponsored by Home State Bank, with $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second place and $500 for third place. A committee will select the top six sculptures and they will be available for the public to vote on during the Bell Tower Festival June 8th through the 10th. To apply, click the link below.
