Tomorrow is Small Business Saturday and it’s a reminder for Greene County residents to shop local.

Greene County Chamber and Tourism Coordinator Michael Reese says there’s a strong push across the county, state and the nation for Small Business Saturday shopping opportunities.

“Greene County is no different. We are advocating for all of our local retailers, we’re rooting for them. We can not encourage anyone enough, if you can buy something here, keep our dollars here because that’s only helping your neighbors.”

Reese points out another way to shop local is by using Greene County Chamber Bucks.

“Basically it’s a gift certificate that you can only redeem those in Greene County, or at Chamber businesses. Again it’s emphasizing keeping those dollars local and it’s a great gift to make sure those dollars to stay local.”

He hopes everyone supports Small Business Saturday and shops locally in Greene County.
