Iowa farmers continue to have decent working conditions as harvest begins to wind down.
According to the US Department of Agriculture, Iowa farmers had 5.5 suitable days of work in the fields for the week ending November 19th. The USDA report shows that about 92-percent of corn has been harvested, which is eight days behind the five-year average.
Northeast, southwest and south central Iowa have more than ten-percent remaining corn crop to harvest. The west central region has about 93-percent corn harvested. The moisture content for corn harvested averaged 17-percent.
