A new event from the Greene County Activities Booster Club takes place tonight in the middle school gym in Jefferson. It’s a Winter Pep Rally and all Ram fans are invited. The Pep Rally Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and includes a “Meet & Greet” that includes games and activities with cheerleaders, wrestlers, girls and boys basketball players, plus members of large group speech, jazz choir, jazz band, and concert band.

Teams and coaches will be introduced to the crowd at 7:30 tonight. Coaches and some athletes are expected to speak briefly, outlining their upcoming seasons.

Greene County girls open their 2017-18 season next Monday the 27th at Ogden, then host Perry on Tuesday the 28th. Ram wrestlers open on Nov. 28 in Van Meter vs. the combined VM/Earlham team, as well as the Ogden Bulldogs. The Greene County boys’ basketball team makes its debut on Dec. 1 in Jefferson vs. Gilbert as part of a girl/boy doubleheader.
