The Perry wrestling team reported for practice this past Monday as the Bluejays get set to embark on a new era of Perry wrestling.  With the recent reclassification of schools and enrollment, Perry found out that they were bumped up to Iowa’s largest class which is 3A in the sport of wrestling.  Perry features a trio of returning state qualifiers and their first test will be November 30th when the Bluejays travel to Story City for a triangular with Gilbert, Roland Story and Kuemper Catholic.  Perry’s first conference meet won’t be until December 14th when they battle Carroll.  Perry will travel to Council Bluffs Lewis Central on December 8th and will face off against a high number of 3A programs in the ultra competitive two-day tourney.
