Guthrie County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will be hosting a program aimed at best management practice for heifers. The event will be Friday, November 17th at the Extension Office in Guthrie Center from 4-7 pm.

The program will examine reproductive efficiency in heifer cattle from a number of angles. Topics include: selecting the right genetics, heifer, and bull for desired outcomes, prior timing, and attention to detail in artificial insemination. The program will also give attendees the opportunity to enroll their 2017 heifer calf crop in the Iowa Cowmaker Elite (ICE) program. Pre-registration is requested.
