WCV (1)This week we’ve been reviewing the season ending stats for the Wildcat offense and defense. Today we’ll conclude our review with special teams.

Brock Wolfe manned the kicking and returning duties this season. The senior successfully completed his only field goal attempt for 23 yards to win the game against ACGC. Wolfe completed 11 of 16 extra points and 23 kickoffs with three touch backs. Wolfe also completed 34 punts with a long of 59 yards, tied for third longest in the district.

On the returns, Wolfe took seven kickoffs for 155 yards and an average of 22 yards per return. Junior Korbin Nourse also returned six kickoffs  for 145 yards and an average of 24 yards per return. Wolfe also returned four punts for 83 yards.

The Wildcats finished first in the district in passing and last in rushing. The season performances through the air and on the ground were good enough for fourth best overall offense in District 1A 6. On the defensive side the Wildcats finished first in tackles, second in sacks, fifth in interceptions, and tied for fourth in fumble recoveries.
