A couple of groups have recently benefitted from donations by a local organization in Greene County.

Beta Tau Delta recently sponsored a trip for 115 second graders to the Blank Park Zoo. The students got to feed the parakeets and giraffes, take train rides throughout the zoo, were served hot lunches and had their pictures taken, along with getting a zoo souvenir bag.

The 100-year-old sorority also made a $400 donation to the Greene County Early Learning Center. GCELC Director Cherie Cerveny says they’ll use the donation for playground materials like heavy duty sand tools and buckets, activity balls, an inflator, a trike course, activity mats and a bubble machine.

Beta Tau Delta helps to support local youth in the community.
