For the first time, Adair County Health System will open their Urgent Care Clinic on Saturdays. The clinic is now open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm.

ACHS recently hired a nurse practitioner to accommodate the increased hours. The clinic is fully staffed with family practice and urgent care providers. Marketing Coordinator Tiffany Johnson says patient feedback was instrumental in expanding the hours. “We had a lot of people leaving the community, (and) going to a community that has either later evening hours or Saturdays. I think it’s a huge thing not just for us but for the community because people then don’t have to drive to another city to be able to get health care. You can get it right here.”
