ADM

The final high school football game of the season will take the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers to the western border tonight. ADM is road tripping to Glenwood to face the Rams in the last district contest. Glenwood won last years matchup in Adel, 44-14.

The Tigers are coming off another heartbreaking district loss at home against the Creston Panthers. ADM squandered a 28-6 halftime lead to the Panthers, falling 44-43. ADM has lost the previous three football games played in Adel by a total of five points. Creston and ADM combined for over 900 yards of total offense and 87 points scored between the squads. ADM junior Nick Bradshaw recorded a career-best 20 solo tackles, including six for loss. He entered the week as the top solo tackler in Class 3A football with 74 stops. ADM head football coach Mike Whisner has high praise for Bradshaw. “He’s becoming one of the better linebackers we’ve had.” Whisner said, “He’s undersized but he plays big and he plays the strong side linebacker, which we call the SAM in our defense. He has the opportunity to get a lot of action and he makes tackles.”

With a 28-0 victory last week over Winterset, Glenwood clinched a second place finish in Class 3A District 7, qualifying the Rams for the playoffs next week. Glenwood’s located 20 miles southeast of Council Bluffs and the Tigers will travel 260 miles round trip for today’s game.
