The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office was called to Minburn early Wednesday morning after remnants of a methamphetamine lab were discovered near Heartland Cooperative.

At around 1 a.m., deputies responded after a caller reported finding suspicious materials. After investigating the scene, it was determined the materials were the remains of a meth lab. The Minburn Volunteer Fire Department’s hazmat team was then called in to aid in the disposal of the items. Chief Deputy Adam Infante tells Raccoon Valley Radio they have no leads about who had been operating the lab, and welcomes anyone with information to come forward. He added, this type of incident isn’t very common anymore, and this was the first meth lab they’ve found in several months.

Anyone with information on this incident should contact the Sheriff’s office at 515-993-4771. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
