The postseason run was short-lived for the Panorama Panthers volleyball team (7-25). The Panthers traveled to Madrid Tuesday for a Class 2A Region 3 postseason rematch against West Central Activites Conference member the Madrid Tigers (13-15 overall). Panorama, who lost to Madrid in five sets to open the season, fell in three games to the Tigers (28-30, 12-25, 15-25). Brooke Halterman led the Panthers with 11 kills while Kennedy Kuta dished out 24 assists in the setback.

After the match, Panorama head volleyball coach Renae Follmuth said she’s proud of how far her teams come in the little areas. “It’s not the win-loss record you always want; you want to be on top there.” Follmuth said, “Look at the fine little details. Look at the aggressive level you are at today as opposed to when we started at the beginning of the season. It’s a pleasure for me as a coach for me to dig for new things (to work on) to push you because we met this level and we want to push onto that next level.”

Panorama’s season closes with a record of 7-25 overall, a two-win improvement from last year. The Panthers lose Carson Fisher, Faith Powell, Nicole Rolfes and Hope Wilderman to graduation.
