ADM

Although it didn’t result in a victory, Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tiger senior Matthew West put on an offensive show in the final home football game of his high school career. The Tigers (1-7 overall; 0-5 Class 3A District 7) welcomed the Creston Panther to Adel for a battle of winless district opponents. The teams combined for over 900 yards of total offense and scored 87 points; Creston overcame a 22 point halftime deficit to best ADM, 44-43.

West accounted for all six ADM touchdowns, three passing and three rushing, and recorded 420 yards of total offense. Four of his six scores measured 35 yards or longer. West and Gage Fuller connected on a 35-yard score 50 seconds into the game. He ran in a career-long 69-yard touchdown late in the first quarter and rushed into the end zone again from 49 yards out just before halftime. West and Cole Knoll hooked up for a 77-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.

The Panthers outscored the Tigers 38-13 in the second half to win their first district game of the fall. ADM’s record now stands at 1-7 and 0-5 in Class 3A District 7. The Tigers finish the season this Friday in Glenwood versus the Rams (7-1 overall; 5-1 Class 3A District 7).
