October’s Greene Living Series will focus on wine and cheese pairings.
Greene County Extension is partnering with Hy-Vee to host “Wine and Cheese 101” on Thursday, October 19th. Extension Director Lori Mannel says Hy-Vee cheese connoisseurs will be on-hand to lead the program.
“We will have some education on different pairings of wine and cheese for about a half an hour and then we’re going to allow people to go around to different stations and actually be able to taste how the wine and cheese go together and give you some tips.”
The program will be from 6 to 7:30pm at the Milwaukee Depot in Jefferson. Cost to attend is $15 per person before October 17th or $20 after the 17th. Space is limited to the first 40 participants.
