
Trial dates have been set in sexual abuse cases against a Jefferson father and son.
According to court documents, 46-year-old James Hubert Exline is charged with a Class A Felony for his second or subsequent offense for second degree sexual abuse and a Class C Felony for third degree sexual abuse. In his arraignment, he pled not guilty to all charges. Greene County Attorney Nick Martino confirmed that jury selection will be on Tuesday, October 17th and the trial will begin on Wednesday, October 18th.
James is accused of sexually abusing his 12-year-old daughter Paige Exline from June 2016 to April 2017. Paige was one of two victims who was killed in a house fire in Guthrie Center on May 17th.

James’s son, 19-year-old Noah Exline is charged with seven Class B Felonies for second degree sexual abuse. Noah is accused of sexually abusing his 12-year-old sister seven times in a three year period. He also pled not guilty to all charges. Martino confirms that Noah’s trial is slated for October 31st.
The Iowa Attorney General’s office will be the lead prosecuting attorney in both cases.
