The public is invited to this year’s Friend of the Year Award ceremony at the Jefferson Public Library.

This year’s recipients are Donald Goodrich, Karen North and Denis Harberts. The Friend of the Year is sponsored by the Friends of the Jefferson Library and it is given to an individual or individuals who volunteer their time to support the library through activities and events and unselfishly gives their time to grow the library. Children’s Librarian Terry Clark explains more details about the award.

“Each year since 1997, the Friends of the Library have honored an outstanding volunteer. The library relies on our volunteers and we want them to know how appreciative we are of everything they do for us.”

A reception will be held at 6:30pm tomorrow at the library. It is free and open to the public.
