At the most recent Perry City Council meeting, local resident Amber Green stated her case for being appointed to the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
The consideration of Green’s appointment was originally tabled because the Council wanted to meet her. At the meeting she attended, she explained she wanted to become more active in the community, and joining the volunteer Zoning Board seemed like a good way to do that. She also volunteers with several other organizations around Perry. The Council liked what they saw in Green and unanimously approved her appointment.
She will fill the vacancy left by Rhonda Olson, who did not desire to be reappointed to the Board. Green will serve a five-year term, expiring on April 1, 2022.
