The ACGC cross country teams are in fine form heading down the stretch towards the postseason meets. Both boys and girls finished second at the Audubon Invitational last Thursday.
Kate Crawford still has not lost an individual competition this season. She edged out Panorama’s Ella Waddle by 16 seconds. Lauryn Embleton finished three minutes behind Crawford in 5th place. Keely Vasey and Jackie Trujillo also finished in the top 25. The team finished 16 points behind the Panorama Lady Panthers.
Noah Nelsen also posted another solid performance. Nelsen finished in second, 24 seconds behind Nodaway Valley’s Brycen Wallace. Clay Billheimer returned from a minor injury to finish 8th and Garrett Young came just four seconds behind in 9th. Five other Charger runners finished in the top 25. The boys finished a distant 25 points behind the Nodaway Valley Wolverines.
Both Charger teams will duel with the Wildcats at 5×80 on Thursday.
