The Perry Police Department arrested a Coon Rapids woman early Sunday morning on charges of burglary in Adel.
Officer Matt Aswegan was performing a regular patrol at just after 4 a.m. when he came across two women in the alleyway east of the 1300 block of 2nd Street. One of the women, 32-year-old Melina Callahan-Lopez of Coon Rapids, had an outstanding warrant out of Adel for second degree burglary, a class C felony. Callahan-Lopez was also found in possession of methamphetamine, an aggravated misdemeanor. She was arrested and transported to the Dallas County Jail, where she is currently being held on $10,000 bond. She will have her preliminary hearing on October 4 at 11 a.m.
