A former Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers football player will get a chance to play on a National Football League field this weekend. Jordan Grove, a 2013 ADM alum, is in the middle of his senior season as a running back for Division II’s No. 1 Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats football team (4-0). The Bearcats will put their undefeated record on the line this Saturday in Kansas City against the Central Missouri Mules (3-1) in the annual Fall Classic football game. Arrowhead Stadium, the home facility of the Kansas City Chiefs, has hosted the event since its inception in 2002.
Saturday will be Grove’s second-time playing at Arrowhead Stadium. He accumulated 67 yards of total offense in Northwest’s 42-17 victory over Central Missouri in last season’s Fall Classic. Grove has recorded 383 yards of total offense for the Bearcats in four games this fall, scoring his only touchdown on a two-yard run versus Emporia State University on August 31. This year’s Fall Classic game between Northwest Missouri State and Central Missouri kicks off at 4 p.m. Saturday.
