Greene County volleyball plays in a Monday tournament today at 4:30 p.m. It’s the Roland-Story Norsemen Tournament in Story City and Coach Donna Carhill’s Rams will be trying to stop a losing skid that stands at 10 straight matches. The Rams are 5-13 on the season in matches and 12-30 in sets.
This is the only action this week for the Greene County varsity volleyball team. It’s Homecoming Week and the students will be involved in various Homecoming activities.
Homecoming Week culminates with a football game at Linduska Field in Jefferson when the Rams host unbeaten and top 10 rated Boone. Greene County is coming off its first win of the season and the Rams stand at 1-4 overall and 1-2 in Class 3A District 2 after a 61-41 victory in Iowa Falls last Friday night vs. the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets. Friday’s game can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with coverage at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
