The third annual “BOO HOO Scarecrow Contest” will return to downtown Guthrie Center next month.

Any business or civic organization can enter the contest by placing a scarecrow in their front window, outside their store or office, or on one of the downtown benches. There are no regulations for design elements or sizes. The only stipulation is that each scarecrow must have clear identification as to which business created it. GCMS will announce the winner during the week of Halloween, and there are cash prizes for the top three creations.
