Earlier this month, a mobile food pantry from the FoodBank of Iowa was in the Panora community. With the mobile food pantry making stops every other month in Panora, the Panorama School District has a pantry of their own that’s opened twice a month. The pantry is opened the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month from 4-6pm at the high school. People can enter through the “S1” door and recipients are not required to have children in the school district to receive food.
The Panora community has some other beneficial programs for Panther families and community members. 3C’s (Children’s Clothes Closet) offers a children’s clothing program for those in need. They are located just north of United Methodist Church on Highway 44 and East 2nd Street. They open at 9am on the first and third Saturdays of the month and at 6pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Panora also has a Panora Area Mom’s support group for mothers to connect and participate in local activities. Appropriate contact information for each program is listed below:
