Relay For Life of Guthrie County may have closed its books on the 2017 event, but they’re already gearing up for 2018. Next month, Relay For Life will be hosting three events to kick off the 2018 campaign.
Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center High School will host two Coaches Against Cancer events during home athletic contests. The volleyball team will host one October 10th in their match against Madrid, and the football team will host the second in their match against OA-BCIG on October 13th. Additionally, on Saturday, October 14th, Relay will host a Zombie Fun Run/Walk. The run/walk will begin at 7pm at the corner of 4th Street North and Main Street in Guthrie Center. Advanced registration is $25 dollars for adults and $15 per child 10 and under.
American Cancer Society representative Kim Durst is thankful for everyone who has contributed time and resources towards the Relay For Life campaigns. “We can’t thank everyone enough for all that they do. It’s just so critical in helping us end the pain and suffering of cancer in our world.”
