Anyone interested to learning more about the Beaver Creek Wind Turbine project is invited to attend a community event this weekend.
MidAmerican Energy is hosting a free community celebration event on Saturday from 11am to 1pm. Project Manager Adam Jablonski says they will have several giveaways and a free lunch will be provided. He describes the main goal of the event.
“The key thing there is for people to come and learn about the project and wind energy. We’ll have different turbine components there sitting on the ground, where everybody who sees these things from miles away can actually get up close to it and see how they work, ask questions of the professionals that will be out there and get to know the details of it.”
The event will take place at one of the turbine sites on 170th Street between A and B avenues, just off the Boone and Greene County line. Signs will be posted to help direct people where to go. To hear more from Jablonski, listen to Monday’s Community State Bank in Paton Let’s Talk Greene County program.
