greene county medical center logoWith flu season coming up, Greene County Public Health is getting a jump on providing flu clinics.

Public Health will be providing several community flu clinics over the next month. The first one is scheduled for tomorrow at the public health department at the Greene County Medical Center from 8am to 4pm. Two more are slated for this month on Thursday, September 21st from 9 to 11am at the Churdan Methodist Church and from 12:30 to 3:30pm at the Paton Public Library.

There are five additional opportunities in October. A flu clinic will be back at the public health department from 8 to 11am and 1 to 3pm on Tuesday, October 3rd. Public Health will then be at two locations on Friday, October 6th including St. Brigid’s Parish Center in Grand Junction from 10am to noon and the Rippey Public Library from 1 to 3pm. On Monday, October 9th a flu clinic will be at the Scranton Congregate Meal site from 9 to 11am. The final community flu clinic is scheduled for Friday, October 20th from 8am to 4pm at the public health department.

Flu vaccinations are billable to Medicare, Medicaid, Title 19 and other private insurance companies. The flu shots cost $35 per person. For any questions or more information, contact public health at 386-3228.
