Kate Crawford and Emma Swanson are getting very comfortable at the top of the individual leaderboard in Class A girls cross country. The pair went one-two for the third straight week as they helped the Lady Chargers to a second place finish at the Greene County Invitational last night.
The Lady Chargers finished just six points behind the Panorama Lady Panthers, who have dominated the team competition all season. Junior Lauryn Embleton finished sixth for ACGC and two other Lady Chargers finished in the top 25.
The Charger boys also had a good showing, finishing in fourth as a team. Junior Noah Nelsen finished in second on the individual leaderboard, just nine seconds behind Exira-EHK’s Evan Wilson. Clay Billheimer was the only other Charger to finish in the top 25, coming in 12th place.
Both teams will look to continue the solid running at the Panorama Invitational next Thursday.
