The Jefferson Fire Department will be out collecting money tomorrow for a good cause.

Fire Chief Jack Williams says firefighters will be at the intersection of highways 30 and 4 in Jefferson for the “Fill the Boot” campaign. All funds will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He explains why the local fire department continues to raise funds for MDA.

“We have a local kid here who happens to have it. We just feel like supporting the group as a whole.”

Firefighters will be collecting donations from 7am to 10am.
