The West Central Valley Wildcats hosted the Wildcat Cross Country Classic Thursday at the 5×80 Golf Course in Menlo.

The boys team came in 5th place and were led by Louden Foster who finished 12th with a time of 18:51.53. Alex Kalbach and Cael Carl joined Foster in the top 30. The girls were led by Milayla Jaeger who came in ninth with a time of 23:54.08. The girls finished outside the top five. Aliyah Dickson and Emily Escoto also finished in the top 25.

The Nodaway Valley Wolverines won the boys’ meet, with five of the top six finishers. Evan Wilson of Exhira–EHK had the fastest time at 16:30.93. The Lady Panthers of Panorama won the girls’ meet with the top three finishers. Ella Waddle was the fastest with a time of 20:24.33.

Both teams will head to Green County next Thursday for a meet starting at 4:30pm.
