vote_earlyGreene County residents can now vote before the September 12th school board election.

Greene County Auditor’s office has absentee ballots available for both Greene County and Paton-Churdan School Board elections. Those wanting to vote by absentee must fill out a request form for a ballot, and one will be mailed. You can also vote by absentee at the auditor’s office from now until election day on September 12th. Any absentee ballots that are mailed must be postmarked to the Greene County Auditor’s office by September 11th for the ballot to count. Absentee ballots can also be dropped off at the auditor’s office until 8pm on election day.

The candidates running for three available seats for the Greene County School Board include: Steve Karber, Catherine Wilson, Lana Teeples and incumbent Mike Dennhardt. Current board members Teresa Hagen and Dr. David Ohrt are not running for re-election. Candidates for the Paton-Churdan School Board include: incumbents Mitch Stream and Dennis Tilley, along with Eric Happe, who is filling a vacancy on the board. An additional available seat will be filled by a write-in.

Absentee Ballots are available at the county auditor’s office during regular hours of 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
