pack the bus

With back to school right around the corner, the Perry Hy-Vee is doing its part to make sure students have all the supplies they need.

The “Pack the Bus” event is going on right now, and shoppers can purchase a bag filled with school supplies for $10. Hy-Vee will deliver the supplies purchased to Perry Elementary, St. Patrick’s, and the Perry food pantry. Additionally, if you have school supplies you would like to share, you can drop those off and they will be included in what’s delivered to the schools.

The “Pack the Bus” supply drive was given a head start this year thanks to two different organizations. The Perry Baptist Church and Crossroads Church donated over $400, which was collected by kids in vacation bible school. Also during the recent Police Night Out, the Perry Police Department gave a surprise donation of a large box of backpacks.
