The Stuart Chamber is once again helping to usher in a new school year by serving breakfast tomorrow morning to the West Central Valley staff.
Stuart Chamber Board Secretary Tiffany Johnson explains why they continue to be a part of the special event to begin another school year at West Central Valley.
“We have a lot of local businesses that donate food to be able to serve them breakfast. Also a lot of businesses send their employees to volunteer to serve the food. So it’s just kind of giving back to the West Central Valley staff because we know they are important to our community. So it just kind of shows them a little bit that the local businesses appreciate the time that they give to our kids in our community.”
Johnson points out there are additional benefits that the staff and businesses get by being involved.
“When they see the local businesses giving back, I think it also brings them back to, ‘Oh I saw that person serving at the breakfast, so maybe I’ll go and support their business. So I think it’s just of a role of giving back to each other.”
The breakfast starts at 7am at the high school.
