School board elections will be held on September 12th, though starting soon people will be able to vote early.

Absentee ballots will be available starting August 21st. Dallas County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Julia Helm says absentee ballots may be cast from her office from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. They can be cast all the way up to the day before the election, September 11th. Absentee ballots must be requested in writing, and forms are available at the auditor’s office at 210 North 10th Street in Adel, on the Dallas County website, or on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website.
