An annual garage sale to benefit the local animal shelter is coming up later this week, and organizers are accepting donations.

People for Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is holding a garage sale fundraiser this Thursday through Saturday. It will be held at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds. A sneak peek at all the items is Thursday night from 6 to 8pm with a $3 admission charge. Friday from 8am to 6pm, and Saturday from 8-11am is free admission. Organizers will accept donations of sale items from now until noon Thursday at Clover Hall.

The proceeds from the sale will go back to the Greene County animal shelter in Jefferson and to the continued care of the animals that are brought to the shelter.
