New Greene County Head Football Coach Mitch Moore and his coaching staff conduct a three-day football camp today, tomorrow, and Thursday. It’s the Gridiron Football Camp at the high school in Jefferson. Camp hours for those entering grades 7-12 is from 4-5:30 p.m. all three days, and camp for youngsters going into grades 3-6 will be from 5:30-7 p.m., also today through Thursday.

For high school players, the camp is a prelude to the start of official practice on Monday, August 7. Coach Moore is in his first season as a head coach. He’s a Ballard (Huxley) graduate who’s been a player and coach on both the high school and college levels previously. In addition to coaching football, Coach Moore is the Activities Director for the Greene County School District, as well as the Coordinator and Consultant for the Greene County Youth Athletic Association.
