The Raccoon River softball conference flexed its muscles in the 2017 season and did so in a big way.

Throughout any point in the 2017 campaign you could find 6 of the 8 Raccoon River Conference softball teams inside the top 15 class 4A rankings. As such the conference showcased 6 teams with a winning record with five of those teams earning at least 26 wins. Going even further, Ballard and Winterset both took away 35 win seasons.

To top it all off, Raccoon River Conference softball sent 8 players on to the All-State list which included two players a piece for Perry, Ballard, and Boone while Carlisle and Winterset sent one player a piece.
