The summer reading program at the Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center has one last event this year, awarding their grand prize for the adult program.

Library Director Pat Sleister explains, “We will have a drawing for adults who have read this summer. Each one of the books that they read, they get a chance at a nice little insulated picnic basket with all the goodies.” They will draw for the winner this Tuesday. Sleister says with the summer reading program now officially over, the library staff will begin planning their fall programming.
