Greene County had four teams on its schedule that qualified for the 2017  Iowa High School State Baseball Tournament at Principal Park in Des Moines. After the quarterfinals were completed last night, those four teams won twice and lost twice.

Kuemper Catholic (Carroll) in Class 2A and Harlan Community in 3A were the winners. Both are from the Hawkeye 10 Conference. Kuemper won vs. Van Meter on Monday night. Harlan was a winner  last night over Oskaloosa. Saydel (Des Moines) from the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference, and Raccoon River Activities Conference member Bondurant-Farrar both dropped 3A first round games, so their seasons have come to an end.

During the 2017 regular season, Greene County picked up a win over Kuemper Catholic, split two games with Saydel, and lost to B-F and Harlan.

The State Tournament continues with Class 4A quarterfinal round games today. Semifinals in 1A and 2A are tomorrow, with 3A and 4A semifinals games being played on Friday. Championship contests in all four classes are scheduled for Saturday.
