Crews are on scene of a two-vehicle accident in Greene County.

According to Greene County Dispatch, at 11:18am the Greene County Sheriff’s office, Greene County Emergency Medical Services, Jefferson Fire and Police departments responded to the crash on 235th Street, a couple miles east of Jefferson.

Both drivers involved were injured. The driver of a car was taken by air ambulance to a Des Moines hospital, and the driver of a Greene County Secondary Roads Department dump truck was taken by Greene County EMS to Greene County Medical Center. The names of the individuals and the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time. Both vehicles appear to be total losses.
