The ACGC Charger baseball team witnessed three of their own earn all West Central Activities Conference baseball honors for the 2017 campaign.

In their first season under the Charger name, ACGC produced one second team selection and two honorable mentions. The two honorable mentions for ACGC went to junior Caden Wardyn and fellow junior Quenton Spack. Wardyn posted a .380 batting average on the season and was the teams RBI leader with nine on the year. Caden was perfect on the base paths with 10 stolen bases out of 10 attempts. Wardyn also did some damage on the mound with a respectable 15 strikeouts through 22 innings pitched.

Fellow junior Quenton Spack had a solid season as well striking a .224 average at the plate while crossing the plate himself 14 times this season.

ACGC’s second team all conference selection came in the form of senior superstar Jacob Joliet as a second team infielder. Joliet was indeed the teams biggest spark accounting for a conference second best batting average of .492. Jacob proved himself to be one of the conferences most efficient batter suffering just two strikeouts all year. Joliet showcased his speed on the base paths by leading the team with a perfect mark of 19 stolen bases out of 19 attempts. If that wasn’t enough, Joliet was just as effective on the mound tossing 20 strikeouts compared to 10 walks on the season.

Once again, ACGC baseball had three individuals earn all conference honors with second team infielder Jacob Joliet, and two honorable mentions in Caden Wardyn and Quenton Spack. The complete list of all conference selections will be released once all member teams have concluded their season.
