Today we introduce another Greene County Fair Queen candidate: Hannah Stein.
She is a recent Greene County High School graduate and is the daughter of Gary and Carrie Stein. She was recently involved in volleyball, student council, choir, National Honor Society, large group speech and Interact Club in high school. Hannah was also named Valedictorian of her senior class. She’s done several volunteer activities with her church, delivered meals for Meals on Wheels, chaperoned the daddy-daughter dance at the Greene County Community Center, was a bell-ringer for the Salvation Army, plus several more. She explains why she is vying for the county fair queen crown.
“I was approached by Ann Cunningham about participating and I wasn’t really sure about it at first. But I figured it’s just a new and different experience for me to try and I’m not really out anything if participating so why not?”
Hannah plans on attending the University of Northern Iowa this fall majoring in biology.
She is one of four candidates for this year’s Greene County Fair Queen contest, along with Emily Heupel, Mariah Durlam and Gwen Black.
