2017 Greene County FairThe official start to this year’s Greene County Fair is tomorrow and there are new additions provided by the Greene County Fair Board.

President Bob Allen says they’re bringing in a new act called Farmer Phil Show. It will be a magic and juggling show doing several shows Friday through Sunday. Another new addition is an outdoor laser tag course. Allen talks about how he found out about the attraction.

“I received an email notification of this event and did a little research online and thought, ‘Gosh this looks like something fun and enjoyable for families.’ And what better day to have it on Sunday of the fair which is family day. So we’re really excited to have that and bring that to the community. I think the kids will have a great time with it.”

Allen points out that they have another great lineup for the grandstand entertainment as well. On Friday will be Grand River Rodeo, with fireworks to follow. Then on Saturday is the Lucas Oil Tractor and Truck Pull.

Tuesday’s events include 4-H static exhibit judging in the morning and the 4-H and FFA dog agility show will be at 6pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will be broadcasting live each day of the fair with our Big Red Radio on the fairgrounds from 10am to 6pm. We will be playing music and reporting results from our livestock competitions.
