Lovers of books and golf will both have a reason to celebrate at the Stuart Public Library’s “Swinging Through the Stacks” event July 16.
Putt-putt holes will weave between the shelves during the fundraiser, which library staff member Lacey Partlow says will allow the library to purchase new books this year.
“The budget that we have only covers salaries, so any purchase of new books has to come from outside funding.”
The non-profit People Active for Library Service (PALS) is hosting the mini golf night. Rounds will be played from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the cost of $10 per person and $20 per family.
