Last night the Panorama baseball and softball teams found themselves on the loosing end of a pair of lopsided victories by Des Moines Christian.
In the baseball contest coach Brian Bahrenfuss and his Panthers squad had trouble mustering much offense falling in an abbreviated contest 15-0. Meanwhile, the Panther softball team would also get blanked by Des Moines Christian loosing by the final mark of 12-0.
The baseball contest provided an early lead for the Lions up 9-0 after just two innings of play. The inning that finished off the Panthers was Des Moines Christians 6 run bottom of the fourth inning to seal the 15-0 win. On the softball diamond, the Lady Lions would score in four consecutive innings consisting of a five run first, a three run second inning, a one run third inning, all rounded out with a 3 run bottom of the 4th for the 12-0 win.
The Panther baseball team drops to 2-11 overall comprised of a 2-10 conference record. Meanwhile the Panther softball team with the loss drops to 3-13 overall and yielding a 1-10 record inside the West Central Activities Conference. Both will be in action right away this afternoon with Panther softball scheduled to square off against Earlham beginning with first pitch at 5:30 pm. Meanwhile the Panther baseball team will also take on Earlham at home with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 pm. Both will be the final home games of 2017.
