A little rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of the crowd gathered at Pattee Park Friday evening, as Friday Fest rocked on.
The inclimate weather did change the schedule a bit, as the inflatables were closed after about an hour and half. However, Rukkus took the stage and played to a large and excited crowd throughout the night, the vendors saw a lot of business, and the festivities went on without incident. Chamber of Commerce Director Bob Wilson said better weather would have most likely brought more people and would have been better for vendors, but all-in-all he felt everyone was happy.
As the rain got heavier and a severe thunderstorm became a possible threat, they decided to pack it up about a half-hour early. In spite of that, Wilson considered the event a success.
