The Perry Fareway recently completed another “Round-Up” fundraiser, this time benefitting the Let’s Connect project.

From May 22nd through 27th, Fareway customers were able to round-up their totals at the register, with the remainder donated to the Hiawatha Bicycle Club for the project. The fundraiser was able to bring in a total of $569.64, with 100% of the proceeds going to the organization. Tuesday morning, Fareway presented a check to the club. Store Manager Travis Landgrebe says he enjoys doing fundraisers for community organizations, and he’s always pleased with his customers’ generosity.

The Let’s Connect project is attempting to bring the Raccoon River Valley Bike Trail and the High Trestle Trail together with a connecting section between Perry and Woodward. The proposed connection will essentially make Perry the bike trail hub of central Iowa.
