The annual Perry KidsFest was held Saturday, and everyone involved believed it was a roaring success.
Held at the Perry Public Library, the Carnegie Library Museum, and Railroad Street in downtown Perry, KidsFest was the kickoff to the library’s summer reading program. This year’s theme is “Build a Better World,” and kids, young adults, and adults were able to sign up for the program at KidsFest. Deputy Library Director Misty VonBehren says the turnout for the summer reading program is reaching never-before-seen heights.
“Miss Suzanne (Kestel), our Children’s Librarian, has been extremely busy signing people up. We’re looking forward to it. We’re probably going to have a record-breaking year this year, so we’re excited!” The summer reading program will run from now until the last week in July.
