The Stuart City Council approved an advertisement for a new emergency medical services director at a recent meeting and is now advertising the position.

The position will be full-time and the Council is hoping to hire a director who is also a paramedic so that they can take on some shifts. The director’s primary responsibilities will be to oversee the services, along with keeping track of  records and standards. Joe Hupp is serving as interim director  while a permanent candidate is sought.
