Celebration of Life Services will be held for one of the girls lost in the Guthrie Center house fire last week.

The service for Shakiah Cockerham takes place in the AC/GC High School auditorium at 10:30 a.m. Minister Larry Glade tells Raccoon Valley Radio the public is invited to pay their respects.

The service was originally set to include both Cockerham and Melanie “Paige” Exline, but Exline’s service will be held at later time according to Glade, who cited unspecified concerns dealing with the ongoing investigation and the family as the reasons for the change.

The fire investigation has been ruled an arson case and is being carried out by the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the State Fire Marshall’s office.
