Memorial Day is Monday, and several entities in the City of Perry will be closed in observance of the holiday.

The Perry Public Library will be closed both Sunday and Monday, while the Perry City offices and the Perry Water Works office will be closed Monday. The McCreary Community Center will be open Monday from 1-5 p.m., though the pool will close at 4:30 p.m.

Additionally, garbage and recycle pickup will not happen on Memorial Day, so Monday’s routes will be picked up on Tuesday. Tuesday’s routes will in turn be picked up on Wednesday. There will also be no yard waste pickup Wednesday. Yard waste pickup will resume the following Wednesday, June 7th, with pickup for north of Willis Avenue.
